Except Trump isn't running against Pelosi and she will easily win

If they lose the House, she will lose that big gavel tho. I doubt that
will happen but stupid stuff like this could lose them seats in
districts that Trump won in 16. If you are presenting your party as
the adults in the room you can't have your leader acting like a 5 year
old.

I might even understand it if he used the speech as a victory lap in
the impeachment but he was just talking about good things happening in
the US, like virtually every other SOTU.

I don't recall any other SOTU where the president gave the Medal of Freedom
to a loud mouth radio blowhard. It's another example of Trump sticking
his finger in someone's eye. The trumpets will love it, but it comes at
the cost of more division, more hate, less ability to govern and get this
done. There are thousands of people who are more deserving. How about
people like Bill Gates, who'd donated much of his wealth, billions to
help people, as well as being a great boost to America's place in
technology and business? How about Bob Noyce and Jack Kilby, the co-inventors
of the integrated circuit that changed the world? Where are their medals?
