Er, can't see how to get this cover off to change the bulb! Getting
ahold of it & pulling it every which way quite firmly doesn't budge it.
Anyone know how this one works? It's a proline. Not run into this
problem before with these type of light covers.

The Proline manual says:

Changing the light bulb
Note. Light bulbs are not covered by the warranty
Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply.
Pull the lamp cover forwards, to gain accesses to the lamp .
Unscrew the light bulb in an anti-clockwise direction from the holder.
Replace the bulb with one of the correct type and size (10 watt E14 base).
Replace the cover by Pushing the cover Backwards.
Reconnect the appliance to the mains supply.

Perhaps they mean slide it towards the front door... will give that a go

I don't think so. The instructions talk about unscrewing the bulb
anticlockwise, so they are looking at the holder from inside the
fridge. The cover looks as if it has to slide away from the housing,
i.e. "forwards" away from the door like you unscrew the bulb
"forwards". Perhaps other models have the housing reversed so the bulb
is towards the door, and they never changed the instructions to suit.
