NC and 28TPI NF . I have heard of 1/4-24 in some rifle action screws but
that's about it . The antique brass overflow fitting I have out in the
shop (awaiting melting to be cast into a knife blade guard or maybe a
pommel) uses a pair of 1/4-20's .
