As the subject. any ideas will be welcomed

Buy an iMac . Initially expensive but today is the 9th Birthday of
mine. not a perfect record but whenever it has gone wrong the local Apple
shop has repaired it F.O.C. several times in the last 9 years

Previously running several PC / M/S machines They would fail
catastrophically and cost £££ each time to repair or replace. An iMac
starts each day in an instant and loads the apps instantly It's very
different but you just have to look at the packaging to see that
whatever you buy is good quality.

I have used Medion Windows PCs for the last 15 years or more.

They are now done by Lenovo from ,memory.

Very good built quality and components. Machines have always been left on
24/7, and have been used extensively 7 days a week.

A couple of hard drives showed worrying signs

What were the worrying signs ? And what were the drive brands ?

I have been using Samsungs over that time and have
never had a problem and I use my systems like you do.
I used to run two machines, the previous best for the
PVR but now just use the one i5 machine for everything.
I assemble them myself using asus motherboards.

and were replaced before any problem arrived.

Other that that not a single component has ever dies on me.

I havent even had one component die. Not even a fan or power supply.
