In about 2005, I had an American Express card that worked that way. For
some reason, they removed that feature.

Yeah, the worst of your card systems are surprisingly
dinosaury given that you lot invented the credit card.

No one else allows mag stripe swiping
anymore, not even in the wilds of africa etc.
