Not the 5100, 5110, and 5120... I don't know why they kept the 51
series number. Those were aimed at small businesses and were followed by
the 5322 System/23. iirc the 5120 we bought was $10000 1980 bucks and
the System/23 was a bit cheaper when it came out. They were sort of
trainers for the System/34 but that was a huge leap in cost.

The 5120 was the only box I've ever seen that came stock with APL and
the necessary weird key markings. BASIC was the other flavor to support
BRADS II that was a low rent RPG. If there is a black hole in the
internet, BRADS II is in it.


I was just referring to the 51xx PC products as opposed to the 85xx
PS/2 products.
I agree it was unfortunate to keep the 51xx model numbers going but I
suspect they thought the General Systems group would be running that
business. It ended up being Industry Systems.
