President Bush is a true war hero.

So was JFK, but I don’t recall that happened when he as buried.
I do recall his little kid being told to salute as the corpse went by tho.

Jesus, JFK's funeral lasted a week and the whole damned city was shut

Idk what the schools did, but JFK was assassinated on a Friday and buried at Arlington 3 days later, on Monday. That's 3 days, mostly a weekend, not a week. Thursday was Thanksgiving, so the schools would have been closed thur and fri for that.

Without checking, part of this is not true or at least unclear. JFK was
assasinated on a school day, some time before 2:30 central time, Dallas
time. So it was not the Friday after Thanksgiving.

I didn't say it was the Fri after Thanksgiving. What I said very clearly
was he was shot on the Friday BEFORE Thanksgiving and he was buried on Monday, three days later.

Eventually I figured out that's what you meant, but don't kid yourself,
none of what you have in the line above was clear.
