polyfilla is currently in use.
I find the filler designed for filling taper edge boards is *much*
easier to sand nicely (and quickly) than polyfiller.
Yes, with that much ceiling and such wide holes I'd assumed something
easier to sand - and also cheaper. My last buy was 5kg Gyproc
Easi-Fill 20 for about £13.
