He actually had quite good job. A job that Mr Pounder has not got the
talent for.

He NEVER had a REAL job! The only time he ever "worked" was when the NHS
paid some training for him as a "computer tech" in the hopes they could get
him to work somehow. It obviously never worked out and now he is, by his own
admittance, "permanently ill" and UNEMPLOYABLE! Of course he's "permanently
ill" because of his MENTAL condition!
