That's a lot like work. There is a reason they don't use WD40 and
steel wool on battle ships. ;-)


Chipping hammers aren't any less work, they just remove more rust at a
whack.


Considering that a fixed amount of rust has to be removed, I'd say
WD-40 and steel wool would be a *lot* more work.
