I want a certain make and model within a range of years, and I get
thousands of accessories and parts, when all I want to see is complete
cars, you know, that I can drive. How do I see only cars?

1 Go to Ebay

2. Click on "Shop by Catagory" by the ebay name

3. Select "Cars & Trucks"

Cars & Trucks is not there.

Yes it is.

By golly you're right, but I have complaints about this.
A) the words Shop by Category are all in black and don't look like a
button.

But the words remind you that there are categories. Then B follows.

B) If you use the "one click seach engine" that Firefox provides for
Ebay, and enter text in the search field and click on the ebay icon, it
defaults to All Categories. Then if you click on the down arrow at the
right end of the Category box, in addition to All Categories it lists 35
sub-categories. IMO it's reasonable to assume that those are all the
categories, and Cars and Trucks is not there.

(There's no easy way for me to list them. The last category is
"everything else" but when I chose that and seached on Lebaron, it only
found one thing, a "Lincoln 1932 Lebaron V-12 Jim Deneen 9 1/4" Fine
Collector Plate 1989 C-331", no cars or parts)

C) When I do Bs with lebaron it brings up two cars for sale,
lebarons, and nothing else,

But if I put in lebaron red it finds 5000 things, and I'll bet
none of them are cars, and in the left column it has
Categories
All
Ebay motors
Car Covers
Graphics
Decalls..... etc.

However if I put in the model I wanted and eventually bought, even
without any other word, the result is like for Lebaron red except
it finds 1.6 million things. Because Lebaron has little or no other
use except as the model of a car, but other model names are not like
that, like (Chevy) Nova and others.

It does, I'll admit, then have a section called "Find your car or truck"
where you can enter make, model, and range of years, but I never saw
that, probably because I seached on the model and year or color

IOW, it has special rules and doesn't work like most searches.

D) if you just put a blank space in the search box and do as in B
above,at least at the moment it brings up a list headlined MOTORS with
these items
"Parts & Accessories
ATV Parts - Parts & Accessories
Apparel & Merchandise - Parts & Accessories
Automotive Tools & Supplies - Parts & Accessories
Aviation Parts & Accessories - Parts & Accessories
Boat Parts - Parts & Accessories
Car Electronics - Parts & Accessories
Cart & Truck Parts & Accessories - Parts & Accessories
Manuals & Literature - Parts & Accessories
Motorcycle Parts - Parts & Accessories
Other Parts - Parts & Accessories
Other Vehicle Parts - Parts & Accessories
Performance & Racing Parts - Parts & Accessories
Personal Watercraft Parts - Parts & Accessories
RV, Trailer & Camper Parts - Parts & Accessories
Salvage Parts Cars - Parts & Accessories
Scooter Parts
Services & Installation - Parts & Accessories
Snowmobile Parts - Parts & Accessories
Vintage Car & Truck Parts - Parts & Accessories
Wholesale Lots"

Admittedly, none of them are whole cars, but I never saw that list in
that format before, only a column to the left of the tierms for sale,
and when I saw Ebay Motors, and it was the only car-related category of
the 35 sub categories, I think it was reasonable to think it would
include cars. I've heard people talk about ebay motors and if they
weren't talking about finding cars, I couldn't tell.

You're right. No doubt about it. But I'm sure I'm not the only one who
gets tripped up by this.
