Yeah, that wouldn't fly today either. When I stayed at the Hyatt lester
Maddox had a gift store in Underground Atlanta where he sold ax handles
among other thing. I got an autographed photo for a friend in Boston who
was a McGovern supporter.

Sometime in the '80s I went back to Atlanta and mentioned going to
Underground Atlanta to someone. "No, you don't want to do that." was the
advice. I think they may have cleaned it up again.
I have a cousin who moved to a senior citizen complex near Atlanta to be
close to her daughter. As a born and bred Yankee she had a bit of a
culture shock.
