Roundup only kills what is growing at the time. Within about 2 weeks
it has deteriorated to 50% , and there is virtually no carryover after
2 months. With regular roundup you can reseed gras within 10 days.
More confusion. With regular roundup, ie glyphosate, you can re-seed in just 3 days. And if you're using one of the long term roundup products, then it's blocking effect lasts many months.

When a brand name for a product gets extended to other products for
marketting purposes, things get screwed up. Think "wd 40" and "wd 40
professional" or "wd40 Specialist" products.

Same thing with "roundup" Roundup is almost a generic term for
glysophate weed killer - then they put the "roundup" name on half a
dozen other weed control products - some of which may contain no
glysophate at all. (generally not "weed killer" products, but "weed
control" products. We need to specify exactly what we are talking
about when using "Brand names".

Glysophate based weed killers have a short half life and minimal
carryover. They work by leaf absorption - not root contact - and they
do not prevent seasonal regrowth. Their "burnoff" only kills actively
growing vegetation and has little or no effect on seeds.

Agree, when you just say roundup, it's implied that it's the glyphosate product or one of the generics.
