but paint seems to be on the outside of panes
behind the beading (not between the panes).

Not with 84, there appears to be a lot of
white between the panes. on the far pane.

On further thought it appears to be a very badly
designed door that is very hard to paint because there
isnt a proper seal between the door and the glass.

I'd start again with a better door if it was mine.
