Default Monitor hardware reset

What does the RESET button do?
from: http://support.ap.dell.com/docs/moni...1/controls.htm)

The Reset button resets the adjustments to the factory settings. To reset
the adjustments:

1. Press and quickly release the reset button when the on-screen display
(OSD) displays for any of the control settings (brightness, contrast,
pincushion, horizontal and vertical size/centering, rotation, and color
temperature). This resets the setting currently in use for the current
video mode.
2. Press and quickly release the reset button when the OSD is not
displayed. This recalls all factory settings for the current video mode.
3. Press and hold the reset button for two seconds when no OSD is
displayed to recall all factory settings for all video modes

I tried to leave it alone for some time... I started to use another
monitor when the Dell one went nuts... but it didnt work. Thanks for
the help anyway, Ken!

Well, the reset button also doesn't work... when I press it, the same
little green key shows up... and I cant change anything.

But the reset button may not help me, if all he does is what is said
above... it will only reset my configs, maybe even the only one that
works now, and I will still be left with a locked monitor.

As Dell didn't want to change it, guess I will have to stick with the
defective one, until I can buy a new one... and it wont be another
D1025TM, hehehe.

If any one come up with a new idea, please leave a message!

Thank you,
Ricardo!
