It is hardly a "tiny morsel." Social programs consume a large amount of
tax revenue. They have not worked either. The Dims have been at the "Great
Society" bull**** for something like 50 years now and have not yet figured
out that it just does not work. They seem to believe that following the
same failed policies will somehow work if they wish hard enough.

Also the Dims scream bloody murder when someone wants to keep the fruit of
their labors rather than have it forcibly extracted from them at gunpoint
and given to someone else. If you want to help "the poor" you are free to
do so. Use your own money and resources to render such assistance. Start
a foundation or a charity devoted to them. However you have no business
putting a gun to someone else's head via government proxy and picking
their pockets. That's no different than the modus operandi of a common
street mugger.
