They forgot to mention the main cause of unemployment in Kentucky, the
closing down of the coal business. Saving the planet may be a worthy
cause but it comes at the cost of making a lot of poor people a bit
poorer. There are a dozen states here that get a significant amount of
their money from coal in one way or another.
