Pragmatic.

There is no way (outside of the minds of socialists who live in some
sort of fantasy land) that a dozen nations are ever going to get along
well enough to live in the same house. Hint: that's why they evolved
into the nations they are now.

However, it is perfectly possible to be nice neighbours. And that's
where Thatcher said we should stop. And clearly she was right.
