Do Americans still do those "chore" things? When I was a kid in the UK,
I was always amazed that American kids had to do regular work around the
house. If UK kids did anything like that, they were paid for it, or
they refused to do it.
When I was a kid in central US, I wished my parents wanted me to mow the
lawn.
