Default Convergence adjustment of Sony KV-1911

This is done with a combination of the yoke tilt position ( up and down, not
rotation ), and using edge magnets that extend down under the yoke windings
between the tube bell and the yoke. The placement of these magnets is
critical. Their part number should be in the service manuals of most of the
Sony sets. The Sony parts dealers should be able to supply them. Most of
the people working at the sales desk don't even know what they are even if
you give the description! You would be best to have the part number for the
ones used in you set. They look like thin strips of plastic with very thin
magnets glued and taped at the end.

If the lines are very badly skewed, this can also be attributed to a
defective CRT. If the set was good before, and the problem is new, I would
have suspicions.
