Sorta surprised, given that it was Texas that they didn't decide to fry
him and take jurisdiction. (grin)
Sometimes the feds and the state argue over who gets him first. Each
jurisdiction can decide which is the best case. Usually cost of the
trial, politics, power, etc., plays into who has the trump card.
