Default Problem with Siemens Gigaset 2415

A component(s) have become thermo sensitive in the transmit section, or
in the audio preamp section in the handset, or in the receive processing
section in the base. The fault must be isolated. Most likely the fault
is in the handset. Because of the way you are describing the fault, I
doubt it is a cold solder connection.

These units use high density LSI technology with multi layer boards. I
doubt very much that you are even the corner service shop and even most
large service centres can service this phone at the component level.
You will have to send it to the authorized service centre for Siemens
phones. If you consult the instruction manual, or call Siemens
directly, they can advise you of the closest service rep to you.

Most of the time, when these phones are sent for service, the complete
circuit board or module is changed to fix them. This is most cost
effective when considering the cost of the parts and labour. They only
have to re-install the new board and check its calibration.

When sending the phone for service, you must send the handset, power
supply, and base unit. This way they can check it as a complete system.

Hi,

I have a Siemens Gigaset 2415 cordless phone. It seems that after I
talked on the phone for about 10-15 minutes, the other side could no
longer hear me while I could still hear it clearly. If I switched to
another phone, everything worked fine. If I switched back to the 2415
(2400) handset, it worked for a short time. The batteries are all fully
charged. Just wondering if anyone knows what could be the problem!

Thank you and best regards!
Cliff.
