Strange, isn't it? Rabid non smokers used to give the smoke in pubs as a
reason to avoid them. But since smoking was banned, they've closed at an
even greater rate.

I suspect they are very proud of their achievements. Almost anyone
could have predicted it would happen (and many did) but they probably
saw the demise of the local as a side-benefit, at least.
