Hi Shadow,

I see some problems with the study. They are making presumptions
about certain thing, such a cholesterol being a problem. They
are looking for markers that in of them selves are not
based on the scientific method.

Cholesterol (high, with low HDL) IS a problem. Just a case of
simple statistics. Statins are a bigger problem. Expensive, with side
effects often more deadly that the disease they treat. And over
prescribed.

They are also not including any natural medicine in the
study. Just drugs and some diet.

They only used drugs that passed previous and smaller
evidence-based trials. No "natural medicine" made the mark. No point
in wasting money if you are doing a trial as big as ALLHAT.

But, at least it is double blind! The data is good even
if the presumptions are not.

Yes, the data is good. Cheap medicine is often better that the
Big Pharma/FDA recommended stuff.
