Cool. Comcast seems to charge me for EVERYTHING!

and the VOIP adapter

use it with other VOIP providers?


You can't use the Cablevision VOIP hardware with any other VOIP service.
But you can use any other VOIP hardware and service, eg Ooma, Vonage,
MagicJack, etc. That stuff is so cheap, it doesn't much matter.
