Ivanpah thermal solar project comes on line.

Three year construction in Mojave desert comes on line.

Will supply power for 140,000 homes in SoCal.

Replaces San Onofre nuclear facility taken off line.

Reduces CO2 emissions by 400,000 tons annually.

We are gaining on it.

Google Ivanpah thermal solar project for more info.

BTW, "Ivanpah" is a town near where project is located.

There is a problem with solar panels though Lew, because they absorb so
much sun, they heat up the area.

So all the windmills affected the wind currents.
The solar panels will affect the temperatures.

And the manufacturing process uses some very nasty chemistry as well!
Greeners tend to overlook the manufacturing load.
Inconvenient...

True.. remember the cash for clunkers.. that certainly could not have
been a green move, jus the steel production would outweigh any benefits.

Oh, but it was. It was designed to get those old polluting cars off
the road. Forget the fact that it took a lot of transportation off
the road that the poor could afford and was an incentive for them to
buy a car they couldn't afford.

Never mind the plastics, or junking the old car...
But hey, some see green, others see $$$ (green).. I just see BS

CfC was BS, all around.
