Our town is going to crap. When I moved here 31 years ago, we had
more liquor stores than traffic lights. Same number of liquor stores,
but a hell of a lot more traffic lights. We even have a McDonalds
now.

When I moved here about 20 years ago, we did not even have a traffic
light. Just a few flashing reds. We got our first one about five years
ago. We're squeezed between 2 towns and a hill. We can't get any
bigger.
Here we are having a fight over a traffic light, well, it's part of a
bigger fight over Landmark's new development of 165 housing units. A
traffic light from 30 or more years ago probably can't be upgraded to
provide left turn only signals, and who is going to pay for a new one?
