And, the people who have all those preparations (and are practiced in using
them) will be fine. Might not be many people to come out and play with.....

Prepared for what?

Is your water supply protected from contamination?
Is your air bio-contamination safe?
Do you have medical expertise necessary to make your own serums?

Having a few months food stocked away isn't going to get it.
