Given the stats that 80% of marriages will experience extramarital sex
by one or both parties, who cares? Screw marriage. It's overrated.
By age 18, I had seen enough of marriage not to want it, ever.

Some marriages work, others apparently don't. And sometimes a couple
marries because one of the partners needs health insurance that's
unobtainable outside marriage. Which says loads about the state of
health insurance.


Some divorce to get coverage like the elderly couple across the street.
He suffered several debilitating strokes and required in home care
that she was unable to provide. Their choices were do divest themselves
of all assets or divorce leaving her with what assets they had. The
division of assets left his finances in a state able to qualify for
government coverage which also says loads about the state of things.
