Its a trait of some Americans to believe they single handedly won the war
after turning up a couple of years late.

Russia made the greatest contribution (and sacrifice) to bleeding the Reich
white, along with their unexpectedly nasty winter of course.

They also paid dearly to greedy American profiteers for lend-lease war
materials.
