Just trolling for the true-believers, but it does make a nicely
_plastic-safe_ solvent for many types of goop and cruft.


Yeah, well, that would be _the_problem_ when trying to dissolve a plastic
substance (urethane/vegetable oil varnish).

It takes a pretty vigorous solvent to break up that stuff. If you have the
balls, ethylene chloride or methylene chloride (varnish stripper) is the
ticket. Other solvents work slowly at best; WD-40 not at all.
