Now you are showing your ignorance. A dome is not the same as a sphere. A
dome would refer to the atmosphere of a flat Earth. The bottom of a dome
would be flat.

What makes you imagine that it's necessarily only a part of a sphere ?
What makes you think that because YOU BELIEVE it to mean a half of a sphere,
it actually WAS meant as half of a sphere ?
