No he didn't. That was one of the reasons for changing to postal
voting.

point. The fact is, as we know from watching the telly, that the
vote was show of hands, done, therefore, in public.

And if over 50% the hands won. Simple. Cameron is ruling and only
about 20% of those eligible to vote voted for him.

The UK system does not elect a Prime Minister. It elects individual MPs
and only by convention does the leader of the party with the most MPs
receive the request to form a government. ISTR that, in theory (and
possibly in practice a couple of times), the monarch can choose anyone -
even someone who has not been elected as an MP.
