I'm not much good at cutting square holes in panels ;-)


Buy a punch or use a milling machine. If the material is soft you can
use a drill-press and a cross vice as well.

No access to a milling machine.

Can you point me to a punch?

Expensive,very expensive......but good if there's lots to do.

Use a dremel....finish off with a file.
