There is no need to carry cash to get a concealed carry permit. I
have one (though I sometimes carry a little cash - there's $1000 in
my wallet now).

Regrettably, carrying large amounts of cash is one of the (two or three)
justifications required to get a concealed weapons permit in some states -
New Jersey comes to mind.

On the other hand, 41 states require no reason at all. If you can stand up,
hear thunder, and see lightning you can get the license.
