I won't consider an applicant if:
-Smells bad
-Dirty clothes
-Unkept appearance
-Pants below the waist
-Drunk or high
-Slouching or other disrespectful body language

THEN I look at general and specific skills, work record and education.
Then I'll do a background check and a drug test. Then the applicant
will be interviewed by the workcell manager.

Would you pass those requirements, today?

I used to service electroincs in schools, and it was impossible to
find qualified help that met any reasonable requirements.

Well, I do like to wear my pants down below my ass!

I did have a couple of young guys that did wear their pants down. It's
a safety issue and nobody wants to see their underwear. I told them
that if I ever saw that again on my property that they would be fired.
Both soon quit anyway, they didn't like getting to work at 7:00 AM.
You'd think it would be easy to get a job with a little "common" sense.

If there is one thing that I hate, it is waking up early and going to work.

In -an- office, yes. The daily grind tends to suck, and rush hours are
the truly sucky!

In my own home office or shop or outside/onsite, I love working
whenever, at my own pace without a gruesome and clueless micro-manager
staring over my shoulder.

I'll start at 7am today, then work until noonish, whenever it gets too
hot. When I have web work, I usually start at 4am, when I get up and
am at my freshest.
