Dual pane glass are sealed units. Often filled with argon gas. You
cannot put anything "inside".

Apologies if I read this the wrong way...


Contrary to what some have said, you can put window film
on double pane windows, including skylights. The issue
with possible breakage due to thermal stress only occurs
on very large glass and with darker tinting. Window film is
widely used in residential as well as commercial applications.

Could probably cut down the heat by 60% with only a
minimal reduction in visible light. The other option is
shades which are available for skylights.
