But "official" doctrine is pretty mainstream Protestant, very little
substantive difference in core w/ virtually any of other major
denominations. Somewhat different in the social field, though, as
result of the Wesley tradition.

I understand all the ancient history. The more recent history of the church,
or at least portions thereof, are suspect.
