I'm with David, while there are a few here on FB, would be nice to
see more.

All right - stop right where you are! Facebook sucks and I'll have none of
you socialist supporters advocating it here!

Rotfl ...

It's like any other tool, social or otherwise ... the "friends" on FB
are folks I've worked and played with in the music world, or
increasingly, woodworking folks I've met here. The common denominator
is sharing a common interest.

Except that it tries to impose itself into your life, regardless of what you
intended it to be when you signed on. Not to mention, what it sells, or
otherwise distributes from you profile information...

Although there are plenty of folks in the category, you have to be pretty
damn dumb to allow technology to wag the dog.

One of the advantages of FB is that it adds another dimension to those
folks who post on the wRec that you would really like to know in
person, but due to distance, find that a remote possibility. Also a
great way to keep up with remote family and grand kids.

Kinda like a telephone, eh?

With pictures ... But a whole lot cheaper.

Karl - say it ain't so...

You bet, Bubba ... I use technology, it doesn't use me. He says, as he sits
on a construction site, waiting for a plumbing inspector to show, while
posting on the wRec using an iPad2 ... IOW, eatcherheartout!

Actually, I was an early adopter of FB to keep up with my daughter in the
UK and my grandsons, and my youngest in college. My youngest daughter is
visiting in the UK now and we have been part of the entire experience
through both FB and Skype. Basically, it's as close to being there as you
can get.
