True, but that was more in response to "sometimes they do" murder. I
actually have never understood why the locals don't get bent about the
nasties hanging out with them and bringing down the destruction.

First, getting rid of guys with automatic weapons and a reputation for
killing people who disagree with them isn't so easy. Second, the
Palestinians in Gaza elected Hamas because they didn't see anyone else
likely to lift a finger to help them. Fatah had proven itself corrupt and
ineffective, so desperate people chose desperate means. Third, if Americans
typically don't back away when someone attacks them, then why expect the
Palestinians to be any different? History teaches us that bombing people is
just as likely to **** them off and make them pull together rather than
discouraging them. Every time an Israeli airstrike kills women and kids,
Hamas gets another busload of recruits--no wonder the *******s hide their
weapons in schools and mosques.
