Duh. Most replacment picture tubes were rebuilt. A common CRT was
$39 rebuilt, and $119 with new glass. If they were on sale, some
rebuilts were $19.95. If you didn't know what to look for you couldn't
tell the difference in new or rebuilt. A rebuild CRT had another ridge
on the neck, near the bell. Some had two or more, if the glass dud was
rare.
