I Would like to lubricate drawer slides (friction, not ball bearing),
and wanted to know what you would suggest for this purpose. It seems
that grease is the way to go, but what kind?

Strips of scrap Formica glued to the bottom of the drawers have worked
well for us. Almost as good as the Delrin, etc., and cheaper.

BRILLIANT !!!

The telescope people often use Formica for bearing surfaces. The
favorite choice was Ebony Star said to have the best sliding surface.
If you are going to use some Formica, it would be worth searching to
see what they currently suggest. Ebony Star is no longer
manufactured.
