They DID embrace Deming, until they realized that it was a bunch of
propagandistic malarky. They finally created their own models, and have
done much better since in terms of the social and emotional costs of
providing quality goods.


Well, the picked Deming's brain in the '50s, just as they picked
Gilbreth's in the '20s, and they've since built on what they learned
from both. But if you think that statistical process control is
"propagandistic malarky" you're an example of the reason that American
business is in collapse.
