First place i looked.

Heh!

Read the article again. No where does it say that the U.S. GIVES anything to
Israel. It is replete with phrases like:

"Israel is the largest total recipient of direct economic and military
assistance from the United States..."

The article does NOT say "aid" (in the sense of 'gift') or anything similar.
Conversely, the article DOES say things like:

"The United States and Israel cooperate closely in a number of areas of
military activity. The U.S. underwrites some of Israel's research and
development of weapons, and has contributed significant amounts of money to
Israeli defense projects..." (i.e., 'Grants' in which the U.S. shares the
result).

"Israel has received more U.S. military assistance than any other country,
both in terms of grant aid and military sales on a concessional basis."
(note these are NOT gifts - they are 'grants' and 'sales').
