You do seem to find it very difficult to admit to yourself the scope of the
violence problem in the UK. Your violence problem isn't our fault. Hint: you
didn't have much of a violence problem when your laws allowed your subjects
the right of self-defense, and your courts put malefactors in prison where
they belong. Now, if a subject uses force to defend himself against an attack,
*he's* the one in trouble with the law, not the attacker. We don't do it that
way here in the U.S., and that's why we don't have anywhere near the violence

The IRA was largely funded by the good citzens of Philadephia. Never
heard of the "Irish Widows" fund? Funding was eventually cut off when
Bush was forced to agree to the assets pursuit and freezing of
terrorist organisations world wide.
We feel quite pleased over here that the 11/9 plane passengers were
mostly from Philadelphia. Able to experience the effects of terrorism
forst hand for the first time.
