While there are exceptions, Republicans tend to stray using things above the
neck; Democrats tend to stray using things below the belt.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The big difference between the R
and D politicians is that the Rs end up looking like hypocrites
because they lecture everyone on topics of moral rectitude while doing
the very same things themselves. The D politicians don't have that
problem since, as a group, they have no concept of morality, right-,
wrong, or appropriate behavior. When they behave like pigs, they're
merely being consistent with their worldview.
