Those tools would be about 100 quid each without the deal, and quality
of them is superb.

I agree a power planer is a nonessential tool for most people (though
for taking off high spots off joists and beams, it has saved me vast
amounts of sweat).

The jigsaw, if it's anything like the gst135, is remarkable in how it
can cope with heavy timbers with ease.

Horses for courses - if they save you more in time costs by buying
them than not - buy them. If not, don't.
