Default Sanyo model #DP42647 no video

This is my first flat panel LCD to work on, and need a little help. I
am not a pro, but have been working on tube TV's for a few years now.
This set has no video or on screen display. Audio is fine. The screen
also pulses at power up for a few seconds then stops, only to leave a
blank dark blue screen. I have googled and only found it could be the
sustain and driver boards at fault, and replacement is the fix. I
suspect component replacement would do the job, just not sure where to
start, especially with no schematic. Anyone here worked on this
particular set or can get me started in the right direction? The lack
of on screen display suggests? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks as always group.

shine a torch on to the back pane and see if you can see a picture using
the torch as the back light. this will prove if you have video.
