I did have the same objection then. But I do not save my posts. And
have no idea if the subject came up here back then.

I think the parents should tell the kids to get an education and to
stay off drugs ( including the legal ones as alcohol. ). But I would
not tell the kid of someone else what to do. So while I think it is a
good idea, I do not think it my place to do the telling except to my
own kids.

If you think Socialism is related to this, you need to look up
Socialism. Socialism is economic, not moral, or political.
