Default Dick Cheney wants attack

Such as torturing out confessions of "WMDs" in Iraq so as
to start those much-wanted wars .... (without which both
herr shrubbie & SureShot would have been impeached by
the end of their second year in office).
9-11 was REAL handy !!!

The wingers are always bragging that the Bush administration kept us safe
for the last eight years. But then, does anyone know if bin Laden and al
Qaeda actually initiated any actual attacks against us since 9/11? Or was
the one all al Qaeda really tried? Point is, since we don't know if al
Qaeda
even tried again how can anyone say they were successful at keeping us
safe?
If no attacks were attempted you can't say you were successful at stopping
attacks that never were attempted. That doesn't stop Cheney from taking
credit though even if nothing he did actually had any effect.

The other thing the wingers never mention is that after the 1st attack on
the WTC in 1993, when Clinton was in office, there were no more attacks in
this country either. So you could say whatever Clinton did between the
1993
attack and the end of his presidency he kept us safe too, but he didn't
have
to resort to torture or starting wars to do it. Funny thing though, I
never
hear republicans giving Clinton credit for keeping us safe for eight
years,
only for Bush/Cheney. Clinton kept us safe here for eight years too but
not
one word about how good a job he did. Not a surprise.

when cheney talks on tv i wonder why people don't realize "the absence of
evidence is not evidence of absence". just because there were no attacks
does not mean his administration had anything to do with it.

i never heard that argument before, clinton "keeping us safe". wow. lol.
good one. no, really, i mean, as a reply to bush administration supporters.
hysterical. wow, "bill clinton kept us safe from terrorist attacks"! lol!

seemed obvious to me when cheney spoke a couple weeks ago about obama moving
in the wrong direction it was political posturing, setting the groundwork
for the day when there is another attack for republicans to gain political
advantage, really, almost as if he was HOPING for an attack.
